A little about me:
Hi, Iām McKenna (she/they)!
I have gravitated toward caregiving roles for as long as I can remember, starting out as a babysitter when I was just a kid myself. I was a nanny for over a decade before becoming a doula and truly enjoy and honor getting to support parents and families in my community.
As a doula, my approach is rooted in person-centered, identify-affirming, culturally-sensitive, evidence-based care, and I focus on making sure you and your family feel safe, seen, supported, and respected throughout your birth and postpartum experience. My support is catered to each individual so everyone gets the right encouragement, information, and care to allow for the most empowered experience. I love working with both first time parents and families welcoming new siblings. I support home, birth center, and hospital births, and I believe there is no right or wrong way to birth your baby.
When I am not doula-ing I am often outside exploring all that the PNW has to offer, enjoying local live music or theater, checking out a new coffee spot or bakery, spending time with family or friends, or hanging with my two cats at home.
